Joe Hawes in an English DJ and Producer based out of the South West town, Torquay. Having started his musical journey at a very young age, Joe first picked up a set of drum sticks at the age of twelve and instantly fell in love with the repetitive nature of creating beats. Also training in orchestral percussion, Joe would eventually go on to study Drums with Music and Music Tech at a music college, eventually finishing with a grade 8 in Drumming and also Orchestral Percussion. Having also learned to play the bass guitar, guitar and piano, music was always a career path Joe would dream about walking but it wasn’t until taking up DJing at the age of seventeen that his dream started to become a reality. With a natural tendency towards drumming and creating energetic beats, his transition into electronic music was a smooth one and Joe soon began to make a name for himself as both a DJ and a producer.

With positive energetic music always at the forefront of Joe’s work, house music was the natural direction for his DJing career to take. Using live drums and electronic pads in his sets, along with bass heavy drops quickly helped Joe find his place in the ranks of the finest up and coming Future House DJs in the UK and beyond. Inspired by the likes of Don Diablo and Martin Garrix, Joe fits the mould of a big room DJ to a tee and with appearances in Amnesia, Ibiza for Cream and at a sold out Wakestock Festival in Wales, supporting the likes of Calvin Harris and Deadmau5 along the way, it is easy to see why he is considered one to watch on the UK’s clubbing circuit. Currently holding residencies for Park Lane, Torquay and Embargos, London, as well as weekly performances in many of Torquay’s most popular student venues, Joe is a DJ who gets the same buzz from playing to a crowd in an intimate venue as he does to a super club in Ibiza, for him it really is all about the music.
